We do Wire EDM also known as wire-cut Electrical Discharge Machining. We use high performance thin single-strand metal wire, usually is brass to precisely cut parts into exactly what the customers prefers. Wire-EDM is typically used to cut plates as thick as 300mm and to make punches, tools, and dies from hard and difficult materials other machines can not handle. Our Wire engineers are properly trained to get the exact pinpoint area you want to cut or punch a hole into the material that has been provided. Our wire cut process uses water as its main fluid. Water controls its resistivity and other electrical properties with filers and de-ionizer units. The water flushes the cut debris thoroughly away from the place of cut. With proper flush as our engineers do, it determines the maximum feed rate for a given material thickness.
Our high Performance CNC sinker EDM consists of an electrode and workpiece that is submerged in an insulating liquid such as oil or other fluids depending on the material. The power supply generates an electrical shock between the two parts. As the electrode reaches the part the cutting process happens in the fluid forming a plasma channel and see small sparks jumping. Several thousand sparks occur per second.
